Hello and welcome to this week's Pod Save the King. I am your host for this week, Russell Myers, the Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror. And hopefully you have caught up with our special episode last week with Anne Gripper, our normal host and our head of social creative gully burrows. They were taking a look at how the

royal family uses the internet and social media to build its brand over the years. A great

episode sort of talking about the changing landscape for the royal family using social media

through sort of Kate and William using social video, the king and queen getting into the spirits

of it as well. But this week I'm joined by the Deputy Royal Editor for the Daily Mirror, Jennifer

Newton. Hello, Jennifer. Hello. And there's been quite a lot going on. I was on holiday last

week, so it's been a bit of a baptism of fire getting to grips with what's been going on.

But we've seen Prince William in Monaco and interviewing Sir David Attenborough, two national treasures.

I'm sure you'll agree. We've got the King's role in Chuping the Color, which is coming up on Saturday.

Of course, the official birthday celebrations for the monarch. Harry and Megan have been pretty busy.

They've been out in Disneyland.

They've been twerking in videos in hospital rooms to much hilarity and congratulations

to from certain members of the public.

And we've got Kate's been out and about at the new Victorian Albert Museum in East London.

And William is at a place called Tor Royal Bog today, which we'll tell you a little bit of later.

But first of all, I suppose we'll go right into William having a bit of a bit of time in the sun in glorious Monaco last week.

This was following on from his interview with Sir David Attenborough,

obviously the legendary environmentalist and presenter.

And he was at an event called the Blue Economy and Fireance Forum.

The rather sexually titled engagement there for him.

But it was all about ocean preservation and William talking.

He was giving one of the keynote speeches, talking to world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, basically telling them to, would I think big to save the ocean.
