The So today my guest is Christopher Long, and we recently aired your episode, The Man in Number 23. I was a huge fan of the story. I mean,

it's got a ton of elements and I did see some, some interaction on Twitter with some folks that

were talking about some of the nods to different things that I initially didn't pick up on,

but going back and listening to it again, I'm like, oh yeah yeah that stuff is in there yeah it's um when I sort of set out to write it I

the first I was aiming to draw and do something completely different and then when the

idea hooked me into it I thought oh I really like where this is going and when I

went back and read it again I thought oh I've seen where that's come from now.

It's like I didn't intend it at first, but they fit so nicely into the story and they carried it through.

It just really worked.

Yeah, the subconscious is always interesting whenever you get into that.

Oh, yeah. Before we delve deep into the story, I know you've had a chance to listen to it, which is a little different from the way that we used to do these interviews, because they used to go right at the end of the episode.

And basically, because of the timing and the amount of work that was involved, usually the authors didn't get to hear the stories before the interview, which is obviously going to be different this season since these are now standalone episodes.

And we'll give anybody who's listening adequate time to drop out and listen to the story first.

So let's first talk a little bit about some of the other stuff that you've had going on.

I know you had a new book that came out and obviously you're continuing to work on short stories and that sort of thing.

So what have you been up to since the last time we talked since last season?

So since last time I brought out my second novel, which is called Fluff,

and was about a man who's driven mad by a little pink bunny rabbit that wakes up beside him

every time he wakes up no matter where he goes, no matter what he does, no matter how he tries to destroy the bunny rabbit that wakes up beside him every time he wakes up no matter where he goes

no matter what he does no matter how he tries to destroy the bunny rabbit it always reappears

and it starts to basically drive him insane um which was great because we released that i think
