There was an island in the Soviet Union, and this is back when they were building gulags

and the communists were putting their political opponents in these gulags.

Well, they were supposed to be building a gulag in this area, and they got a bunch of prisoners,

almost always political prisoners, but not all of them.

That'll come into play here in a moment.

There were a bunch of murders and rapists and thieves, but mostly political prisoners,

and when I say political prisoners, I'm going to clarify something.

You had to have your papers with you at all times in the Soviet Union, or you could be

shot or sent to the gulag.

And what I mean by papers with you is, let's say you're hungry right now, you need a snack.

You leave the house, run down to the gas station, pick up some chips.

If you get stopped, and then it will stop you.

You don't have your papers.

There's a good chance you will never come home again.
