Florida State's lines managed a stalemate against the vaunted Miami (FL) lines, but the Canes still jumped out to an insurmountable lead thanks to turnovers and poor situational play. The FSU defense took the right approach—stop the run (3.0 ypc allowed) and force Carson Beck to beat them down the field. But Beck made the necessary throws, and the Hurricane receivers won their matchups in the secondary. And the defense's performance still might have been enough to win had the offense not found a way to squander every opportunity they had to build early momentum and set their own defense up for failure. 1:23.5	off of turnovers. And that was basically the ball game. Miami scored it scored 28 points
1:32.7	despite three Florida State turnovers and 14 points off turnovers. And, you know, I projected
1:39.5	Florida State would average about six yards per play. They averaged about 4.9.
1:45.2	So that was a little bit, a little bit lower there.
1:48.0	I was thinking somewhere between five and a half and six.
1:51.3	And then Miami, I had averaging below four yards per carry, and that's what they did.
