Why do you feel worthless? It's always tied to something external. The way someone's treating me or I lost his job or I lost the sport I lost my identity in this and you start to feel worthless. You gotta realize something.

0:12.0

Can't nothing in this world take your worth because nothing in this world gave you worth. God gave you worth that birth. We know in scripture he said he set you apart.

0:20.0

When you understand that you were created like that. It's not in this world that can take it so remind yourself of that facts when you're feeling worthless go back to that scripture go back to that reminder and even with facts over feelings is the same thing and shift in a little bit is the same thing with arguments like me and my wife I do this all the time with her and she now gets it when we're arguing because we are a couple and couples argue you know I said what's the facts here let's talk about the facts so even when people are throwing you feelings opinions judgment

0:50.0

ask yourself that are these feelings are these facts.

Today is the special episode because we get to continue the conversation that we started last week with Trent Shelton. This is part two of that interview. I know it's going to bless you and speak to you.

1:17.0

Q up part two with Trent Shelton.

1:25.0

One of the reasons why you've been so successful is your ability to turn your pain into power so long to speak to that because that's something that you talk about often videos and you know in your Instagram post.

1:35.0

So many people out there struggling with pain right so many people out there and we talked about this with your with your story but it's a library on it for a minute.

1:42.0

How can people not allow the pain to cripple them but rather to propel them into greatness pain into power.

1:52.0

Well for when you got to take responsibility you know there's no way you can turn your pain into your power by standing in the pain.

1:57.0

So I tell people that all the time a lot of people expect healing expect change by standing the same environment right that environment doesn't promote change or growth and it's killing you literally.

2:07.0

Mentally even physically spiritually you're not going to make a change you know always use the definition of a flower you can take the most beautiful flower in the world and put that flower in the wrong environment no matter how much potential that flower has how beautiful that flower can be.

2:21.0

It's never going to grow in the wrong environment so a lot of people you're in the wrong environment stop put your hand on the stove and expecting not to burn right so for one take that responsibility for two goes back to definition like change the definition of pain right if it wasn't for my pain.

2:36.0

I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now did I want to go through that pain no I always say this quote so quote I wrote to myself a long time ago.

2:43.0

God will allow you to go through places you don't understand just bring to the place where he needs you to be yeah and so there's times I didn't understand any of that.

2:51.0

Yeah so I would tell people that's listening is change your definition of it and take responsibility and also I'm really I just do that real quick as an exercise yeah what's the normal definition of pain just what how would you describe pain as most people if you look it up in Webster or whatever right I don't know the website but how would most people how are most people viewing their pain that's the definition how most people defining pain yeah I would just say something that is it's some people killing me yeah mentally.

3:21.0

You know something that's killing them mentally and killing their soul spiritually like to call it emotional pains yeah and so that's what that is but when you change that definition to realize it's a pure negative word right pain it's nothing good in it nothing can come out of it right nothing good so go ahead let's redefine it yeah as we know as you know being strong men in here and working out always say it's the beautiful thing about being an athlete right I go when I talk to athletes I tell him this the foundation for strength is what pain is pain there's no way I can do it.

3:51.0

No way no game exactly there's no way there's no way you can get stronger without putting yourself through that now I might tell you go put yourself through pain on purpose absolutely not but when you change that definition to say I'm going to get stronger because of this I'm going to be better because of this I'm not going to allow this to control me this is going to be a situation in my life where I look back and say this actually changed my life it's a chapter like the coolest stories have bad chapters everybody's life has a bad chapter but you'll never get to your great chapters if you don't find the strength to add to it.

4:21.0

Actually turn the page trend you going through any pain right now of course okay me too of course Joel you going through any pain yeah okay we sitting here talking about pain not going through it yeah you're always going to be going through some type of pain that's right things in you know my professional life in my personal not every day is

4:39.0

moving sailing right you know and all these things and how I would redefine it for people in this episode is stop looking at pain as that all that negative thing that thing that hurts you right and change the definition to pain this is your new

4:53.3

definition of pain here pain is the ultimate catalyst for growth I would be where I'm at without it it's the ultimate catalyst for growth so when you're experiencing that
