We have been in this collection called Slow Burn. We kicked it off last week. Today we take

one more step together on the premise that waiting is not a season, waiting is life. The invitation for all of us

today is we can live in the wait. We can live in the wait. So if you have your Bible, so why don't

you turn with me to Psalm chapter 5 and we are going to dig right in. I loved Rich Holden my book.

This has been so special to me this week. We're just going on day six of it being out. And it's been a beautiful labor of love in

my heart for over a decade. And now to have conversations with you about how God is speaking

to you and encouraging you, it's been priceless. And I'm excited for what God

has ahead of us. But today, we get to read the heart journey of the poet, the warrior king David.

And I'm opening with verse one where he says, listen to my words, Lord. consider my lament, hear my cry for help, my king and my God.

For to you, somebody say to you, to you, I pray.

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice.

In the morning, I lay my request before you, and I wait.

I wait expectantly.

I want to talk to you for the next few moments on this thought, turning point.

Will you bow your heads and pray with me?
