When I was little, after my mom tucked me in and turned out the light, I sometimes felt apprehensive. What was there in the shadows of my room, was that dark shape a crouching monster?

Thankfully, there was always a remedy and turning on the light and seeing what was truly there.

As adults, our childish fears may disappear only to reappear in grown-up concerns.

But there's a remedy for us, too, a way to turn on the light of Christ.

What is this light of the Christ?

Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer of Christian science, wrote in her book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Christ is the true idea, voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness.

Jesus was the man who fully manifested Christ, God's powerful and healing message.

Probably every Christian considers him to be a wayshore.

As a music teacher, I had a simple example of Christ in action.

I had to give a father an answer I was worried he wouldn't like.

When he and his son didn't appear for class the next week,

I was fearful I might have lost them as participants. So I turned to God as the perfect mind,

divine love. These are synonyms for God.

Knowing this mind fills all space.

I reasoned there wasn't room for many minds,

but only one mind of love,

which all of us reflect as his spiritual image and likeness.

The exact moment I accepted this truth into my heart.

This father walked into the classroom with his son.

They also signed up the following semester at her joyful participants.
