Today, we want to discuss how we as racing fans can go

out and do some racing ourselves through karting, experience days and sim racing. It has always been

a thing with Missed Apex podcast where we try to encourage you to just turn a wheel, whether that's a

sim wheel, a real wheel or a wheel in a windmill.

No, that won't work.

A wheel on a boat, maybe.

But we think that as motorsport fans, we should be doing some kind of motorsport.

At Miss Apex, we do think that sim racing, when done properly, is motorsport as well.

But when you do do that and you're out

dicing with a group of people on a stag do or you're on a sim race with a bunch of crazy people

from the other side of the world, you start to understand those split second decisions that

you have to make in F1. And sure, if you want to delude yourself that, that basically makes you an F1 driver, then that's absolutely fine. Now, I'm joined by somebody who I've beaten quite a lot in carting, although I know is a much more skillful driver than me. It's Alex Jeansy Van Gene. Hello, Alex. Hello. Do I have to talk about weight again? No, I swear you, I swear, I swear, you talking about you beating me at karting is just a different way of fat shaming me. The check. And the only reason you beat me over the past few years is because I've been vastly overweight. However, the last few times we've been to the car, I have comprehensively destroyed you. So it's fine. We need to go outdoor now. The checkered flag doesn't know about the scales.

And look, Alex, I think you and me are huge proponents of amateur racing and just going and having a go. It's soccer fans. They all know how to kick a ball about in the field. it's very, very accessible.

Carting is and's very, very accessible.

Carting is and sim racing is less accessible, but it's not as unaccessible as people think.

You can just go and find your local indoor track. Pay your 25 bucks. Go and go carting for 15 minutes.
