As the nationwide protests over racial inequality and the death of George Floyd continue,

Atlanta has seen tensions reignited. On Friday, an Atlanta police officer fadley shot and

killed 27-year-old Richard Brooks after he struggled with authorities during a sobriety

check. These protests continue under the backdrop of the pandemic where just last week, 21 states

saw their average daily new coronavirus cases increase as states continue to reopen across the

country. On Sunday, Sergeant General Jerome Adams publicly

encouraged people to wear a mask in public to stop the spread of the virus, saying it will help

the economy get going. The economy is still burdened by the virus as the Dow fell more than 200 points

on Monday, as President Trump is outlining his plans for the country,

former Vice President Biden holds meetings and roundtables to explain how he would handle these issues.
