And even though we don't talk about politics here, it seems a little bit strange and wrong not to mention it at all.

So we just wanted to say and reemphasize that the library is a place for everyone. And we plan to highlight that now even more with our guests on this podcast, starting right now, as in right this very minute, with our guest who is sitting here with us currently, Sarah Ball. That's a nice G-rated joke about. I just thought it was like, let's have a ball. And Sarah is the managing librarian in our correctional services unit. Sorry, I said union. Unit. and you work with people who are incarcerated. So welcome,

Sarah. Thanks for coming. Hey, Sarah. Thank you so much for having me. Good morning. This is very cool,

actually, because it's someone on staff at Jefferson Market works with Sarah, and I hear about it,

but I've never obviously done what you guys do, And I find that the library has this so amazing.

I mean, all the amazing services that we do have.

So I want to know, like, well, I want to know what you do,

but I also want to know, like, how you got to where you do what you do.

So tell us about you.

Sure.

So what I do is I manage the team, which we are five, five of us in correctional services,

and we work with so many branch staff members too and people who work in all parts of the library, actually.

And we do library services for people in jail and prison.
