It is a pretty crazy day. I might have to say. It's eventful, yet I want to say that aside from being eventful it has a lot of force behind it.

I have to be very careful as to how I word things today only because

it's such a sensitive matter. The things that we're going to be talking about are extremely sensitive, extremely

important, and it has to do both with national and international relations and the confukiest that comes through this is pretty intense.

So we're going to be discussing a lot today, a lot about the

Ottoman Empire and what is coming and what is going. So I thought that today we can start it off with just taking a note on

what the BBC has to say about Turkey and Syria tensions.

The British administration there has called on civilians to defend their territory.

People are being urged by the Kurdish forces to head to the border to resist the planned offensive which Turkey has

said is imminent. Well this all follows President Trump's controversial decision

to withdraw US troops from the area. To give you more of a picture here, the area is controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic

forces who of course played a leading role in the fight against the self-styled Islamic

state, but they're regarded as terrorists by Turkey.

Turkey says it wants to set up a 30 kilometer safe zone along the border to resettle up to 2 million Syrian refugees who are currently living in Turkey.

While our correspondent, Allagirin is at the Turkey-Siria border, she gave us this update.

Well, there is a real sense here now that the offensive will begin very soon.

We have had statements from senior Turkish officials both from the President's press

spokesman and also from one of his aides saying officially that they are
