As I sat down to write this particular episode, I, like many of you, I presume, have been

completely addicted to watching the Alec Murdoch family murder trial, which has been

absolutely fascinating.

It is, of course, beyond tragic as two people senselessly lost their lives in the most

violent way imaginable.

From a strictly legal standpoint, this trial had everything the one could ask for.

It's what I would refer to as a trial's attorney trial.

Now, I'm not going to get into the weeds with the facts of the case, not here, but we will

definitely be covering the trial in the docket, because it's just too interesting not to

dig into it.

But I bring it up here because it's much like the Garcia trial, which is fast approaching,

I promise.

The case boiled down to not much more than mere presence at the scene of the crime, which,

in the criminal law world, means that the killer had opportunity, proximity-wise, to

have committed the crime.

I'm not going to give you any more spoilers than I just did, because it is in this episode

when Omaha PD will begin to unearth the evidence that will cause them to lock into Garcia,

and tunnel vision will become fully developed in terms of them believing that Garcia is their

guy.

Not only that, but the guy.

Now don't get me wrong, Garcia and Murdoch are vastly different in many, many ways, as

there is no familial connection between Garcia and the victims, and in Garcia, the crimes
