As I was beginning to write the script for this episode of Tunnel Vision, a significant

development occurred in the case against Richard Allen, who's accused of the murderers

of 13-year-old Abigail Williams and 14-year-old Liberty German.

The two young women were murdered in Delphi, Indiana, a small rural town about 77 miles northwest

of Indianapolis on February 13th of 2017.

That day happened to be a Monday, so typically the girls would have been in school.

However, on that particular day, there was a pre-scheduled snow day for the school district.

So the girls had big plans that day.

They were going to take advantage of this free day off from school.

The girls had arranged to be dropped off at the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is kind

of a nature reserve in the area of Delphi, by Libby's sister Kelsey at approximately

1.35 pm.

The girls hiked the trail and then found their way to the abandoned bridge that traverses

dear creek.

Now this was a very popular area for teenagers to come and hang out.

At around 207 pm, Libby posted a Snapchat picture of Abby walking the bridge.

No one had any communication with the girls after this photo was posted.

Family became concerned when they could not reach either of the girls when they did not

show up to meet Libby's father at 3.15 pm, the designated time set for picking them up.

Before calling law enforcement, the family searched for the girls themselves.

The trailhead was searched, phone calls were made, and ultimately after the family had

no success, they were reported missing at 5.30 pm.
