I'll be honest with you and confess that there are moments where I just forget to be thankful.

It's not necessarily that I'm not thankful.

I guess I just don't remember to be thankful. But I love what Paul wrote to the

Ephesian Church in Ephesians 520, giving thanks always and for everything to God, the Father,

in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. That statement, that statement right there, giving thanks always

and for everything kind of wrecked me the other day. And so here's a Tuesday

truth that I'm going to bring to you. Be thankful when you don't know something because it gives

us the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for difficult times because during those times that we

learn to grow. Be thankful for our limitations because they give us the opportunity for

improvement. Be thankful for our mistakes because they will us the opportunity for improvement. Be thankful for our

mistakes because they will teach us valuable lessons. Be thankful when we're tired and weary because it means we've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things. But a life of rich joy comes when we are also thankful for the setbacks.

So today I want to remind not just you, but me, to be thankful for our troubles

because they could become our biggest blessings.
