This one is really fun. I want to get right into it because given the topic, I will probably

speak at length. And I need to remember and also take a break. All right. This is the top 10

greatest movie McGuffins of all time. Do you know what a movie McGuffin is? I always think of a mulligan.

So it's like a flub or a redo. Well, a mulligan is exactly that. You get to try again.

The last attempt doesn't count. But a mcuffin feels like a flub or like a mess-up

to me in a movie. That's not what it is. I'm going to read what was written here. This comes from

Listverse and the 10 Greatest Movie in McGuffins of All Time was written by Jonathan Cantor. Shout out

Jonathan. Alfred Hitchcock gave name to literary and film,

to a literary and film device called a McGuffin, sometimes spelled McGuffin. So you can do the MAC or the

MC is what they're saying here, which is any object or device that serves to trigger the plot.

This boils down to anything that sets the plot in motion or keeps it going

in one direction or another. In terms of Hitchcock, the birds were the McGuffin in, well, the birds

and he used others like Norman Bates' mother and psycho to keep things going. While he may have coined

the term, Hitchcock wasn't the only one to use mcuffins. They've been around for a long time, especially in some incredible works of fiction.
