we get to them. A few celebrity birthdays, Serena Williams and Christina Million are both 42 today.

Jim Kovizol is 55 in Linda Hamilton of the Terminator movies, 67 years old Sarah Connor.

Happy birthday, everybody. And on this date in TV history, a bunch of classic shows all premiered

on September 26th throughout history. It's been a big one over the years. Knight Rider premiered

on this date, the Brady Bunch, Hawaii 50, Gilligan's Island, and the Beverly Hillbillies. They all

aired their first episodes on this date. Those are iconic shows.

I missed TV show theme songs. All right, let's go. We always start with the top story. The

biggest one for sure today will be the possible government shutdown. Congress will reconvene

today in House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. We'll keep trying to find a way to make everyone happy.

The House is scheduled to vote again tonight, but it doesn't sound like McCarthy has the

support he needs to move forward. They have five days to sign off on a new spending bill. I do

want to point out that social security checks will still go out if the government shuts down.

I'll quote non-essential federal employees will stop receiving checks. That's a huge bummer,

but those social security checks will not stop. Some of the jobs deemed essential include air

traffic controllers and law enforcement officers, but millions more will see delayed pay checks.

They've got this week to figure it out.

All right, okay, on the sports here on football news after the Pittsburgh Steelers victory

over the Raiders Sunday night in Vegas, things got a little scary for them. The team's charter

plane had to make an emergency landing. Instead of going home, they were forced to touch down
