1996, very tragic and 13 years ago today,

September 13th, 2009, while Taylor Swift was on stage at the MTV VMAs. This happened.

13 years ago, and 13 is Taylor's lucky number. Who I wonder what that means.

All right, let's get going. We jump in with top story, a couple different pieces of news regarding former President Trump

and the Justice Department came out yesterday. First, it seems the Justice Department supports one of the candidates that Trump's team is suggesting as this independent

arbiter or special master to review those classified documents seized from his home. That judge approved the idea of the special master,

so both the DOJ and Trump then produced lists of possible people for that role. The Trump side said no to the people suggested by the DOJ,

but the news here is that one of Trump's candidates has been given the green light by the Department of Justice, a retired judge,

and Raymond Deerey will see if that sticks. The other story, same people involved, but unrelated, the Justice Department has issued more than 30 grand jury

subpoenas over the last few days to people in the former President's close circle in relation to the January 6th

insurrection they are still investigating. That one, while some of the subpoenas are just seeking documents, many are being called to testify

before a jury in Washington.

All right, on two, a couple sports headlines. Now Monday night, football, return last night with a close one.

Russell Wilson was making his debut with the Broncos and was expected by most to win the game. In the end, it came down to a failed 64-yard

field goal attempt in the Seahawks got the win 17 to 16. In baseball news, the Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondback 6th and

nothing last night to become the first team in the league to clinch a playoff spot this season. They actually thought they clinched it the night

before and celebrated as if they had, but the league said, wait a second, no, you still need one game. So now it's official. Commence the celebration.

All right, onto some entertainment headlines this morning in rumored relationship news again rumored.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid are reportedly getting to know each other. You might remember that Leo and his girlfriend just broke up after four years together.
