Good morning, everybody, the simple handicap for Tuesday, September 12. Thank you for making me a part of your morning.

It is currently 9.20 p.m. on Monday evening recording this podcast very early because I know it's going to be a little bit of a late morning.

Think I'll get to sleep until 6.37 o'clock. Get the day started just slightly later than usual.

That was a big, big a big big big swing of emotions

for those of you who may be unaware lifelong jets fan have suffered mightily over the last

decade and a half following this team um a quick note on the game i was going to record this immediately after, and like I was, I was fired up, to put it lightly.

And I hit record, and it was sort of an incoherent rant for a better part of three minutes.

Not so much as like the Eagles, Lions rant from a couple years ago after a guy had a few too many.

And it recorded on the

podcast for those of you who remember that morning episode. But yeah, it was just fired up with

emotion. If you're a Jets fan listening to this podcast, you can relate to this. But I think

the most important thing that I sort of took away from everything

that happened, and it goes really to anyone who's a fan of football because of how great this

sport is, when you pick a team and you have a team that you love and you follow and you never

waver and you never change, you go through inevitable ups and downs as a sports fan. That's what makes it great.

And after 12 and a half years, literally going back to January of 2010, I was in the back room

of an illegal slot parlor in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Tobago. I was 18 years old, watching the game

in the back room on a small TV in the corner.

I was just off of shift from working my first job in the sports book industry.

It was a time when I had very little money.

I had very little opportunity anywhere.
