2024. The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. Yesterday, I told you about a fake video created by Russia of ballots being destroyed.

But today, I unfortunately have a real story about ballots being destroyed.

A ballot box in Portland, Oregon, and another one right over the border in Vancouver, Washington, were lit on fire.

Only three ballots were damaged in Portland because the fire was extinguished quickly,

thanks to a suppression system inside the ballot box and a nearby security guard. It was not

the same situation in Washington. The suppression system did not work as well,

and hundreds of ballots were destroyed in an area where one of the closest house races in the

country is expected. Voters who dropped off their ballot in that specific box after 11 a.m. on Saturday

have been told to contact the Clark County

auditor to get a new ballot. Police say they have identified a suspect vehicle.

Turns out, Lyft was lying during the pandemic in order to get people to sign up to be drivers.

And now they're going to have to pay a $2 million fine because of it.

A lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission claimed that Lyft, you know, the ride share

company, misled drivers when they advertised how much drivers could make during the pandemic.

First off, they used earnings from the top 20% of drivers and then mentioned earnings guarantees,

which the FTC claims misled prospective drivers to believe they'd get bonuses.
