Welcome back, friends, to today's episode. We're in Psalm 32, which is such an amazing Psalm.

We're talking about the blessings of forgiveness and really looking at the instruction

that God gave us through David.

It's not just instruction in an academic way, but it's the instruction of one who kind of

suffered in the school of hard knocks, having made some really bad choices, and yet experiencing not only the negativity of sin,

but then experiencing the blessedness of forgiveness and describing that for us.

In fact, that's the word that Paul uses, that David describes the blessing here in Psalm 32 of forgiveness. We're in verse number five,

and this section that we're going to begin today is a section in which David now backtracks.

So in verses 1 through 4, he talks about, wow, what a blessing. I've been forgiven. But now in

verse 5, he kind of goes back and says, here's how that process began. Here's how that

forgiveness was affected in my life. So verse number 5, I acknowledged my sin unto thee.

What an important statement. I acknowledged my sin unto thee. What an important statement. I acknowledged my sin unto thee. We might use the

word today. I admitted it. I confessed. I like that verse in 1 John 1 1 1.9. I think every believer

ought to memorize 1.9. If we confess our sins,

he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
