Kirk for today's episode. Hey guys, welcome back. We are in Proverbs 5 today. So if you want to find

your place in your own copy of the Word of God,

if you do that, I know many of you are listening as you drive or work out or what have you.

We talked a bit yesterday about sexual sin and temptation and the danger of it.

Today we'll talk about the positive side,

and that is that God has given us a wonderful privilege and blessing

to be able to enjoy the intimacy in marriage and in the bond of marriage.

And that's exactly what Solomon deals with in verse number 15,

which I find a bit ironic because if we know one thing about Solomon, we know that he didn't

make wise choices when it came to women. And many of his wives were, just think about that statement alone, many of his wives.

He proliferated wives to himself, many that were just a matter of political deals and that

kind of thing. But anyway, you look at it, Solomon really did not make good choices when it came to women,

but that did not keep him from offering good advice when it came to his son. And don't dismiss

the advice of somebody just because they made some bad decisions in that same area.

Many times advice that a person gives who has not followed that advice is that much more poignant

because they've suffered the consequences of those bad decisions.

I think that's what the book of Ecclesiastes is all about.

So here we are in Proverbs 5 and verse 15,

where Solomon says, drink waters out of thine own cistern and running waters out of thine own well.
