And we always start with the top story. This headline is everywhere. There is another E. coli outbreak out there.

They say it's linked to organic carrots. According to the CDC, one person sadly has died,

and at least 38 others have gotten sick. Those affected are spread throughout 18 states,

but the CDC says they expect those numbers to be higher than they currently can confirm.

They do not believe the carrots are still in stores, but could be in homes.

On to sports, quite a bit here.

First, a scary one out of the NHL.

A referee named Mitch Dunning was carried off of the ice last night on a stretcher

after colliding with a player on the Colorado Avalanche.

He was taken to the hospital, and the league is now confirming that all neurological signs are normal.

He's got movement.

It's such a dangerous job, but it sounds like he's going to be okay.

Now, this is a big story this morning last night before the Monday night football game between the Cowboys and the Texans.

A huge piece of metal fell off the roof at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The Cowboys had not played a home game with the roof open since 2022.

Last night was going to be the night.

But when they opened the roof, this thing fell.

And they said, never mind.
