was testifying about Russia's interference in the presidential election.

The focus. When did the White House know, and exactly who knew, about the conversations that Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser, had with the Russian ambassador to the US?

We know that on January 26, Sally Yates calls, down again, the White House counsel and says,

I had a very sensitive matter that I needed to discuss with him, that I couldn't talk about it on the phone, and that I needed to come see him.

So she and a career prosecutor from the National Security Division, heard of the White House.

We began our meeting telling him that there had been press accounts, statements from the vice president and others.
