Summary

Hosea 2:10-17 When people stubbornly pursue satisfaction in their sinful choices, trite temptations, and empty idols, God uses various means to get their attention. At times, he removes physical blessings. Other times, he takes the joy of sinful pleasure away. At the extreme, He allows a place of utter emptiness and desertion. But it’s in that place that His presence, His love, and His offer of hope greatly abound.

1:32.0

Josea, relates to the nation of Israel in that they are both unfaithful to their very faithful

1:38.4

husband. Gomer is unfaithful. I mean chronically unfaithful to Hosea, not just a one-time fling type thing, but chronically

1:48.2

unfaithful. And then there is the nation of Israel chronically unfaithful with many lovers,

rejecting the loyal love of God. And how does God deal with all of this? Well, we have found in recent

episodes that you can chase sin, but you won't get the pleasure you think you'll get,

2:11.5

and you won't get the satisfaction that you thought you'd find. And your pursuit will become more and more intent, and what you
