Let's start with some fun news today.

On Saturday, the Virginia State Legislature approved adult-use marijuana legalization.

Sales won't start until 2024, but this makes Virginia the first state in the old South

to embrace full legalization.

Honestly, Virginia between this and banning capital punishment, I am seriously impressed.

Have you been like going in a therapy or something?

Of course, not a single Republican voted for the legislation, and I'm starting to see

a pattern here.

This next story may not feel like a big deal, but it kind of is.

On Sunday, the White House released a video statement where President Biden referenced

an ongoing vote in Alabama to decide whether Amazon workers at a Bessemer, Alabama warehouse

will unionize.

For context, the workers at the Amazon Bessemer warehouse are in the middle of a seven-week

vote that began in early February and will end in late March.

The vote marks the first time since 2014 that Amazon workers in America will get to decide

whether to be represented by the retail wholesale and department store union, in other words,

to decide whether they'll unionize.

In the video, Biden said, workers in Alabama and all across America are voting on whether

to organize a union in their workplace.

It's a vitally important choice.
