Swimming Federation has banned transgender women from participating in high-level women's swimming events.

71% of the Federation's members voted to adopt the new policy.

Transgender swimmers will be required to transition before the age of 12 in order to participate in women's competitions.

They also clarified that they are not urging people to transition before

the age of 12. Their statement said, we have to protect the rights of our athletes to compete,

but we also have to protect competitive fairness at our events, especially the women's category.

They are currently working on adding an open category that will allow people who don't

meet those requirements to compete. As gas prices continue to climb, some relief at the pump

might be on the way. President Biden announced yesterday that he's close to making a decision

on whether or not the federal government will implement a gas tax

holiday to assist with soaring gas prices across America. The move would suspend the federal

tax of 18.4 cents per gallon of gasoline and 24.4 cents for those filling up with diesel. While

many of us would welcome any relief when it comes to record high gas prices,

especially when it's paired with inflation, there are people who believe that Biden should

not remove the federal gas tax at all. Critics of the gas holiday claim that relief will be small

and short term and possibly even drive up inflation when the gas tax returns, all while depleting transportation funds.
