Good morning America. Thank you for joining us on this Tuesday morning. We have a lot of news to get to this morning. Ginger is standing by tracking the dangerous heat, putting more than 65 million Americans on alert, plus the flash flooding and rescues overnight. But we're going to begin with the tragic death of actor Malcolm Jamal Warner, who was best known for his groundbreaking role as Theo Huxable on the Cosby Show.

Warner drowned while swimming at a beach in Costa Rica.

Police say he was caught in a high current.

So let's go to Victor Okendo there in San Jose, Costa Rica, with the latest for us.

Good morning, Robin. Overn, we heard from Costa Rica's Red Cross. They responded to the

beach where this happened. When they arrived, they found two men had been pulled from the water.

One was in critical condition. The other, Malcolm Jamal Warner, tragically, the beloved actor

was pronounced dead at the scene.

This morning, fans around the country mourning the tragic loss of the Cosby Show star Malcolm

Jamal Warner.
