Trump making a rare appearance in the White House press briefing room.

The president asked if his push to take over Greenland would lead to the dissolvement

of NATO.

I think something's going to happen that's going to be very good for everybody. Nobody's done more for NATO

than I have, as I said before, in every way. Trump ticking off a list of what he says

were the accomplishments of his first year claiming his economic policies, including tariffs,

have put the U.S. in a strong position. We have taken a mess and made it really good.

It's going to get even better.

But as he was saying this, stocks were tanking on Wall Street,

investors selling America on Trump's tariff threats

and veiled threats of attacking U.S. allies over the Greenland issue.

The Dow plummeting 870 points.

The new federal investigation into Minnesota elected officials is

wrapping up with the issuance of grand jury subpoenas. Officials say the subpoenas have been

served on the Minnesota governor, the state's attorney general, the mayors of Minneapolis and St.

Paul, and the county prosecutors for both cities. Sources say the investigation centers

around whether those Democratic elected officials have been obstructing federal law enforcement.

Governor Tim Walls calls it a partisan distraction, and he says neither he nor his state will be intimidated into silence.
