all time game one of the Western Conference final. So there are moments where you need to look at

the sky and say we are blessed as sports fans. And today, last night, this afternoon this

morning, Tiki, it's one of those days. He's just so happy that the Mets are winning that he can't get out of his own way. You're feeling so good about yourself. You think it's that? Of course that's what it is. And I apologize. And the Mets are on a youth binge. Yeah. Now they're bringing up Nick Mora Bito. Some more speed that's on the base pass. and Juan Soto can stop playing defense and just focus on being a D.H. To get your ass in gear. I mean, you feel good. That's why you're saying that. Meanwhile, on Sunday, it's going to be 60 degrees. Well, that's Sunday, okay? I mean, I don't know what Sunday holds. I don't even know what Friday holds. Oklahoma City, like the Western Conference Finals, we'll see probably for the next 10 years.

That consumes so much of like your brain that I'm not sure if there was room for a game seven in the NHL last night or vice versa. Maybe that consumed so much and there was no room for the Wembe show last night in Oklahoma City. But last night was truly awesome. So I give you the choice. It's up to you, Tiki. What moved you the most? The Met Crazy win, the Yankees beating the Blue Jays, or dare I say, the Western Conference Finals? Not the Western Conference Finals, because that's on the Western. It's the West Coast right now. It'll be interesting. If the Knicks take care of business tonight and look dominant like they did against Philly, like they did against Atlanta, then we'll start saying, well, who do we want? Oh, by the way, Nick fans were doing that last night because you're so thirsty for basketball. They haven't played in a week and a half that you're glued to thunder spurs. And there's no doubt in the back of your mind or maybe the front of your mind, you're game planning. All right, how do we stop one thing? Exactly. If the Knicks dominate tonight, then we can have that conversation. But I think, look, the Yankees are going to be fine. We said that even after they lost two or three to the Mets over the last couple, over the weekend. They had a, look, it was a tough game. Do we not trust David Bednar? Of course not, all these other things that we could talk about. But the story is the Mets.

The Mets are five games away from getting a 500, and it feels like after weeks of saying this team actually sucks, David Stearns needs to be fired, that Carlos Mendoza, whether directed or just intuitively, they said, you know what I've got to stop listening to the analytics and nonsense.

I'm just going to play these guys every day. I'm not even going to overthink it. Part of it is because he has to because of the injury situation. And I'm going to let the young kids rake. And that's what's happening. And they're fun and they're winning. So the Mets are the story. I had fun last night, and I'm glad the Mets are winning, and maybe this is like emotional damage from past relationships. I still don't think this team is any good. I'm going to be honest with you. I loved last night. I mean, a four-hour, 12-in-in game, which you never see anymore. The wild natures of the game, the emotions of the game. And you're right about the youth playing, AJ Ewing having the impact. Carson Bench continues a streak of driving and runs and the Mets being undefeated. And the Mets found the way. They took punches in the face and they won a game last night. I'm ecstatic about that. I don't want you to conflate not believing in a team with also not enjoying success. I enjoyed success last night, but they were also very lucky last night. But are they going to get better? Do you believe that the Mets are on an evolution to get better? Or are they at their ceiling? They're not at their ceiling. I think. You can say that they are because, but there's no way that the Mets are at their ceiling. They are, Bovichette's not playing the way he should be. Juan Soto hasn't, hasn't been the Juan Soto that competes for MVP's. The young kids have only been up for two weeks or so. We're still trying to see what Brett Beatty and Mark Vientos are in regular play, not just, hey, play this game, sit down against this guy, et cetera, et cetera. They're not at their peak yet. And they're playing bad at times. Yeah. But they're winning. Yeah, no, no. You hit on. If you play bad and win and you're not even close to where you're supposed to be, how can you not be optimistic about that? Well, I'm happy. There's a difference between happy and optimistic. I'm thrilled when my team wins. I think all fans feel the same way, no matter how ugly it is,

no matter how ugly it is, no matter how lucky you are. I still think that they are a very flawed baseball team. What I've enjoyed over the last... Not to this degree, no. No. I mean, they have one guy in their rotation that could actually go deep into a game. And that's Nolan McLean. And you bet your ass they need seven innings out of him tonight

because the bullpen is completely spanked. I mean, that bullpen is tired. I think that the Mets is available. He will be available, yes. I think he's one of the two guys who may be available for tonight's game. I think you're right. The Mets faced a lot of bad luck earlier this season. We heard so much about it.
