We start with a couple top stories. President Biden held a news conference yesterday with the new German Chancellor Olaf Schultz. He likes warm hugs.

The two came together to appear united against Russia's possible invasion of Ukraine. But there was one major sticking point.

Biden has vowed to shut down a natural gas pipeline if Russia invades, but Olaf refused to commit to that.

This pipeline runs between Russia and Germany. And it was completed in September, but has not yet transported any actual gas.

Biden said he'll basically pick it up and throw it in the trash if Russia moves forward.

And a quick COVID update here after increasing their inventories, CVS and Walgreens have both removed purchase limits on at home COVID-19 test kits.

This means in store and online. COVID cases across the country are actually down quite a bit compared to a month ago.

That holiday spike and a handful of states, California, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut. They're all beginning to ease their mask mandates.

Okay, jumping into sports, a quick Olympic update for you at the time I'm recording this. We still don't have a gold here in the US.

We have four silvers. We were right 14th at the moment. That fourth silver just came from skier Ryan Cochrane Siegel in Men's Super G.

Sadly, the US women's hockey team lost to Canada. Congrats, Canada. It's a big rivalry. Final score of four to two.

It was the preliminary round. And most likely these two teams will face each other again.

Chloe Kim and Sean White will both be competing today in qualifying runs. And in other sports news, the Houston Texans have hired Lubby Smith as their new head coach.

He's only the fifth head coach in franchise history.

Moving over to entertainment seems like I have a Joe Rogan update every day. The saga continues.

He was offered $100 million by a right wing media company called Rumble to leave Spotify and join them.

Meanwhile, Spotify stock has sunk to its lowest levels in quite some time.

Nick Cannon, father of a thousand, just received a gift a week after announcing another baby is on the way.
