0:14.6	Most Christians in the United States sense that the terrain around us is shifting.
0:19.3	Every once in a while, you have a new story that hits very close to home.
0:23.4	And home in this case is San Diego, California, where that city is the home to many churches,
0:29.8	many faithful gospel churches, I'm glad to say, in a massive city that includes, as
0:34.6	I discovered while being here, that there are 100,000 college and university students
0:39.9	just in the San Diego area.
0:42.5	But also in San Diego is an evangelical church that meets in a public school, rent space
0:47.9	from the San Diego Unified School District, in this case, Marshall Middle School.
0:52.8	But here's the headline that ran just recently in the Los Angeles Times.
0:56.4	It tells us a great deal about where we stand.
0:59.0	And frankly, Christians, wherever Christians are found in the United States in particular,
1:04.1	should pay very, very close attention to this news story.
1:07.1	The headline, churches LGBTQ talk at public school stirs feud.
1:13.0	So now you have a feud in the San Diego area over what happened at an evangelical church
1:18.8	meeting at a public middle school and rented space on a Sunday.
1:23.5	So what exactly happened?
1:26.0	After Christen Takeda of the Los Angeles Times tells us, quote, on the first Sunday of
1:29.9	this month, the pastor of a Scripps Ranch Church brought in a guest speaker who talks about
1:35.3	how she came to believe being gay is wrong.
