All right, let's go. I always start with the top stories. It's being reported that Pfizer may be filing a submission for emergency use to the FDA today that would allow children aged six months to five years old to receive their COVID vaccine.

It's the last piece of the population to get it. This is much earlier than expected. The FDA authorized the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine for children between five and 11 last fall and use in that age group is significantly lower than the overall population according to the CDC.

Only 21.6% of kids in that range are fully vaccinated.

And today February 1st 2022 is the lunar new year or the Chinese New Year. Welcome to the year of the tiger everybody.

Last year was the year of the ox. This holiday is celebrated by almost two billion people around the world. The celebration which got started last night on lunar New Year's Eve will last for 16 days ending on the 15th.

Also today marks the beginning of black history month and the end of dry January.
