Russia invaded Ukraine in February of 2022,

so we are coming up on the two-year anniversary of that invasion

on the 24th of this month. And it's high time we take

stock of what is at stake, where we stand, where Ukraine stands, where Russia

stands, what all of this means, and what American policy should be.

Now that raises a host of issues, but as you look at it, you recognize eventually

these questions are going to have to be answered.

And so we're looking at a pattern.

If you go back to February of

2022, just about everyone understood exactly what was at stake and exactly what

was taking place. Russia had invaded Ukraine. A hostile force had invaded a sovereign nation and was threatening

its very existence.

Russian sources at the time were talking about a desire to re-ad Ukraine to Mother Russia, not only in terms of some kind of alliance,

but in terms of some kind of border, and they were particularly intent upon toppling

and replacing the current government, and that is of course of

President Vaudamores-Lensky, and instead putting in something like a puppet government

that would be very subservient to Russia. And the outrage around the world

was almost immediate. There were very few that would speak up for Russia in light of that

invasion. There was no doubt that it was an aggressive
