But first, here's our roundup of today's top stories. It's Tuesday, April 8.

At least a dozen international students in Western Washington have had their visas revoked over the past two days.

Gustavo Segreiro reports.

Five are current students and seven are post grads at the University of Washington and Seattle University.

A UW spokesperson says the visas were revoked due to immigration status violations but weren't given any more information.

Udub says it doesn't believe it's related to activism or free speech and are concerned for students'

well-being. Neither school was notified. They found out after checking international student records in a federal database, which students don't have access to.

A State Department spokesperson declined to comment specifics but said in a statement that those who break the law,

including students, may face a visa refusal, visa revocation, and or deportation.

Officials at both universities are urging international students

to get in touch with campus legal resources. Gustavo Sagero, KUOW News.
