Here are today's top stories. It's Tuesday, May 28th. Starting with why you can't rent an e-book right now,

at least not from the Seattle Public Library. The library had to take all of its online services

down on Saturday because of a ransomware attack.

There's no estimated time yet for Seattle Public Library's digital services to come back online.

During the shutdown, people cannot check out e-books or audiobooks, scan the library's catalog, or use Wi-Fi at the branches.

Library officials say they are working with

third-party forensic specialists and law enforcement to figure out the extent of the ransomware attack.

They haven't said if library member information was obtained. The library is still checking out

physical books, but asks people not to return physical books

right now because they can't be cataloged. There's pressure to get this fixed fast.
