for its role in Oklahoma's opioid crisis.

On Monday a judge found that Johnson and Johnson had created a quote unquote public nuisance in the US state of Oklahoma for its role in the state's opioid crisis.

Now, the world's largest health care company will have to pay for it.

The sum isn't the $17 billion dollars Oklahoma sought out, but as the F.T.'s pharmaceutical

and biotech reporter, Hannah Cushler points out this is a landmark

case in other regards.

Johnson and Johnson lost an important opioid's case in Oklahoma yesterday and they've been ordered to pay 572 million dollars in an abatement

plan which is meant to help the state cover the costs of the crisis.
