The Milwaukee Public School District has been battling lead poisoning this year,

and they're doing it without the help of the federal

government. The city recently announced they've had to temporarily close two more schools due to

lead hazards. There were no students at those schools that tested for high levels of lead,

but they're doing this just as a precaution. Those students are being relocated to other schools to finish out the school year.

But there were students in other schools earlier this year that did test for high levels of lead.

The Milwaukee public school system has released a step-by-step plan to fix the issue and keep the kids safe.
