A search gets underway for the missing driver, 19-year-old Sarah Stern.

We are looking forward to that, but we have a lot of news to get to on this Tuesday morning. Gio is standing by with news about a possible mega airline merger. And Gio says if this is true, it would create the world's largest airline. But we're going to begin with

the severe weather, slamming the heartland overnight with tornadoes and baseball-sized hell

with millions bracing for more dangerous weather this morning. Ginger is tracking it all forth,

as always. Good morning, Jim. Good morning, too. This is a multi-day outbreak. Today is going to be

worse than yesterday, likely. More than 142 severe storm reports

already reported in the last 24 hours. That included 14 reported tornadoes. This one captured

in Webb, Iowa. The damage in Kansas is from Franklin County, where there were injuries reported

from this one. There was large hail, like baseball-sized hail, up through parts of

Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, and then flash flooding that washed out roads in northern Michigan.

This is in Galard. And they've got rivers at record levels, and they've got more rain on the way.
