The four headlines you need to know.

Liberation Day is apparently going to be tomorrow, according to our president.

That is what he is calling the day where he will impose a ton of tariffs on countries

that the United States does trade with. President Trump claims that starting tomorrow,

the United States will implement import tariffs on countries that match what those countries

tariff for American imports. And while the equal tariff thing might sound really logical,

almost every single economist and economic news

source is warning that at least in the short term, these tariffs will hurt the American economy,

the stock market, and the American consumer. According to Economist.com, the new tariffs will

quote, hurt growth, raise prices, and worsen inequality, end quote.

Trump's team is hoping that this move will motivate or force companies to manufacture more

products here in America, which again, does sound pretty good.

And a lot of us would love to see that.

But changing production plans for car manufacturing, for example, isn't super easy.
