hour, Trump backing off that threat and agreeing to a proposal pushed by Pakistan. The president

posting this on his social media saying, subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the

complete immediate and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing

and attack of Iran for a period of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran

for a period of two weeks. Trump saying this will be a double-sided ceasefire. He goes on to say

that he believes that they have been able to make some progress in their negotiations and saying

that he believes that a two-week period will allow the agreement to be finalized and consummated.
