Well, you may have come across this story prior to the Thanksgiving holiday as the European Union recently enacted a law banning the use of intentionally added microplastics.

Now, this isn't a term, Reggie, that I was familiar with prior to reading this story,

despite the fact, microplastics have been banned in the U.S. since 2015.

So what are they? Let's define them for everybody.

The term itself is a bit on the nose.

Microplastics or microbeads, as some people call them, are tiny pieces of plastic,
