What could your company do with two million dollars in funding?

Data Tribe is a global cyber foundry that invests in and co-build next generation

cybersecurity and data Science companies.

And they're accepting applications into their second annual Data Tribe challenge, a global

competition to identify and develop high technology startups with a vision to disrupt cybersecurity and data science.

Last year's winner, Prevaleon just closed its series A round valued at

35 million dollars, less than 12 months after winning the contest.

Three finalists will split $20,000 in prize money and

one winner will be eligible to receive up to $2 million in seed capital from Data Tribe with

potential follow-on investment up to 6.5 million dollars in Series A venture

funding from Data Tribe and Allegious Cyber, a Silicon Valley-based cyber security venture capital firm.

Late yesterday, Twitter announced it had proactively suspended around 200,000, what it calls,

spam accounts, alongside an initial ban of 936 active accounts which Twitter alleges were involved in a state-backed

information operation focused on the situation in Hong Kong.

This disclosure consists of 936 accounts originating from within the People's Republic of China.

Overall, these accounts were deliberately and specifically attempting to sow political discord in Hong Kong
