A new report from 50 of the world's leading experts on the need to combine solutions for combating the climate crisis and our planet's rapidly declining biodiversity.

Here are some of the cool things from the news today.

A new report from 50 of the world's leading biodiversity and climate experts has emphasized

that we cannot solve the climate crisis without also solving a rapidly declining

biodiversity and vice versa. The report, which came out of a workshop hosted in collaboration

with the United Nations Intergovernmental Science Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem

Services, or IPBES, and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, includes

suggestions on various solutions that could tackle both issues at once, killing two birds with

one stone, you might say, if killing birds wasn't the exact opposite of what this report is trying

to achieve. Anyways, the workshop was hosted at the end of last year, but the report it spawned has just

been published after completing the peer review process, and it focuses on real-world solutions

that account for things like the social science of affecting change, and strives for plain
