Here are some of the cool things from the news today.

As you all know, for the past year, I've been closely following the various shortages around the

world, especially the ones that seem a little odd at first, until you dig deeper into the supply

chain or other extraneous factors, and it all becomes clear. Well, instead, today I want to

dive into one item that has seen a huge boom during the pandemic, a boom that is not

at all curious, and that I'm sure every one of us could have predicted. Frozen Pizza. Even though

delivery pizza was pretty much the only winner of restaurants during the pandemic, the New York

Times says the combined revenues at Domino's and

Papa John's increased 12% or $434 million, quote, roughly equivalent to their selling about 30 million more

large cheese pizzas than they had the year before, end quote. But frozen pizza did exceptionally well, too.

Sales rose 19% from 2019 to 2020, with total frozen pizza sales breaking $6 billion.
