Hello everybody and welcome once again to The View from the Lane.

I'm Danny Kelly.

It's the first podcast from The Athletic.

Now, I suppose given what was going on yesterday, on the radio, national newspapers even, you're surprised to hear me.

Most of you by now will know that I'm pretty ill.

But my treatment doesn't really start until next week, and then we'll see how I'm going.

And we've got very good cover for you.

I mention this only because I want to thank many, many, many,

many people who've got in touch over the past 24 hours, well, it's even less. It's about 17 hours

to wish me well. It's been, I don't, are you not overwhelmed? I'm not overwhelmed. I'm enjoying it

thoroughly. That's how my ego works. But I am inundated and it's lovely.

Thank you very much indeed. And very, very, very many of you who've been wishing me well in

various electronic media are obviously listeners to the future lane. So this gives me a chance to

thank you all. There's been amazing messages. But one, I want to relay to you, because your Spurs fans, 99% of you,

I want to relate to you one message that I got that I thought was, it really gave me an amazing boost

that it struck me very profoundly. Somebody talked to me and said, Danny, you know, you see all this support. You've

already got a massive amount of people pulling for you, pulling like a dog. And that is all the

people who support Spurs because you're well-known the Spurs community. Indeed, I got a message

from online message from the club itself.
