Summary
Today on the show we’re talking with Arizona Cardinals kicker, Matt Prater. Matt came from a small town in Florida just outside of Fort Meyers, playing sports with his brother. Prater was kicking 60 yard field goals in his senior year of high school, at which time he entered a kicking camp and eventually got on a college team.
When Prater entered the NFL, he still had a lot to learn, he missed a couple of field goals in his first game, and his team went on to lose that game. Prater felt ashamed and embarrassed, and he used that to improve his game eventually landing a starting position on the Denver Broncos.
