The news about Tucker Carlson is big news because movements have to be populated

from the grassroots, but you need folks who can communicate in a mass medium broadcast.

Not just one man, that's too much power for one.

But Tucker was doing something more than anyone else in media.

He was taking stories that weren't stories and making them stories.

He was breaking from the conventional wisdom of the rhino or the RNC and daring them

by challenging them.

And I suspect that made it easier to let him go.

I suspect this is all related to the settlement with dominion voting systems.

Bongino was out a few days ago.

This is intended or will have the consequence.

Fox News writing a $787.5 million check to dominion voting systems.

I don't know if this was part of that settlement that also Tucker has to go.

If it is, then dominion is shearing because they got a pound of flesh.

If it's not, who knows?

Here is the highest paid personality on the network, but he's also responsible for

multiples of that in revenues.

It's hard to write a $787 million check, even for Fox News, even as big an empire as they

are.

You're looking at four fifths of a billion dollars.
