Now I am not reintroducing the idea of purgatory, but on the other hand, I do believe the baby was sworn out with the bathwater. With that came a belief, when you die, you're instantaneously and magically made perfect.

All of someone who dies immediately goes into eternity. There is no place where you make up for your sins. There is no purgatory. In the twinkling of an eye, we shall be changed.

But we slap a Bible verse on it. And what does that make this? Well it makes it pretty typical Christian.

This is wretched radio. Let's check in with celebrity political pundit, who appears to be, oh, I'm going to use this word, a journey. That's right.

I use the word journey and I didn't have the 80s rock group in mind. Tucker Carlson appears to be on a bit of a quest where he's at with his faith, where he's at with his belief.

Don't know for sure he professes to be a Christian. He also confesses that he just started reading his Bible for the first time when he was fired from Fox.

And he's discovering an awful lot of truth in there. Recently speaking at the center for Christian virtue, who needs a new sound technician, as you will soon hear, Tucker Carlson spends about 10 minutes talking about social issues.

And then he gets into theology. Let's check in with Tucker Carlson and see where he's at. Shall we?

So I'm really struck by the ballot initiatives that your voters will be facing in November. And I'm struck because they're so very different from the politics that I covered for the bulk of my life. I'm 54, been covering this stuff since I was 22.

That's interesting that he keeps bringing up his age these days. It appears we got a man in his 50s who's realizing, hey, there's less sand on the top of the hourglass than there used to be. And he's trying to sort things out. I can't help but wonder if that's why he regularly informs us of his age, which isn't something that in Western civilization, either females or males are inclined to do.

And for most of that time, the debates that we had in the political sphere were over competing visions for how to improve people's lives. The minimum wage was always a really intense debate.

And I always felt like maybe the minimum wage killed jobs, I guess, that's what my side said. And I think that's probably true. And the other side would say, but people need more money to live. And so we're going to mandate that they make this much.

And it was a, you know, I was on one side of it, but I could also sort of see the other side. Both sides were at least pretending to try to improve the lives of the people that voted for them.

But when you wind up in an election where the two top ballot initiatives are one encouraging people to kill their own kids and to encourage their kids to do drugs, who's benefiting here?

Well, apparently marijuana is on the ballot. And I don't even understand why it's a debate. Science. Hello. Hello, my unbelieving friends. Science is clear. Pot is bad for you.

I just saw another study. It's making people literally insane. And yet we continue to promote it like it's a must have liberty. And it is these days when we live in a therapeutic culture that is all about happiness and the autonomous self and doing whatever you want, as long as it doesn't hurt other people.

That's interesting. Isn't it? As long as it doesn't hurt other people, then you can do it. Well, what does the other big issue of our time due to people by removing body parts from them?

Seems to me that hurts people. Nevertheless, we've diluted ourselves into thinking, no, no, no, that's good. That's right, because people need to be happy and true to themselves.

Marijuana. It's on the ballot. Life is on the ballot. Seems to me the trans issue should be there too. I'm serious.

The one unalloyed source of joy in your life is your children. The point of life is to have children. Well, we get his point in the context, but that isn't exactly the Christian worldview.
