Tucker, if you haven't been following it, his show has been essential viewing throughout the

Corona crisis, and I'm very honored that you've come on the show. Tucker, thank you very much for

joining us. Oh, are you kidding? Sorry, it's my honour. Well, honour shared, honour shared.

Tucker, you've been very much front and centre of this crisis in the American media landscape.

And one thing that a lot of people are talking about is how this crisis has accelerated trends that were happening already.

And one of these trends, I think, has been a loss of trust

in the integrity of the media. And I think this crisis is going to make that worse. Would you

agree? Well, it has made it worse, measurably. I mean, the new Gallup poll numbers, which is the

oldest American polling company, are out today,

and they show that approval of various institutions related to response to the coronavirus is up.

60% I think it's the highest ever recorded.

Trust in or approval of hospitals of our medical establishment CDC is all up. In fact, the overwhelming majority

of Americans say they're happy with their employer's response to it, remarkably. The only

institution whose numbers are down are the media, and they're underwater by double digits,

and that's deserved. I mean, what's what's interesting is, is how difficult it has been
