though let's get this out of the way savannah guthrie came back to the today show yesterday and she was

at the anchor desk um for the first time since her mother's disappearance but they still they still have

not solved that that uh kidnapping thing that nobody knows what happened to her mother but she was back and there was a clip from that. I have that. You guys check this out. On this Monday morning, we are so glad you started your week with us and it is good to be home. Yes, it is good to have you back at home. Well, here we go, ready or not. Let's do the news. Yes, so good to have you back. All right. There's a lot happening here on a Monday morning. So I'm really excited that she's back and it was like a little bit.

She's like, we're going to do the news. But I cannot imagine going back on the air and doing the

news and talking about other people's kidnappings and stuff like that happening in other people's

families when your mother is still, she's never been found like that whole man that whole story was crazy you guys we talked about it non-stop for like four weeks and then nothing it was just crickets crazy yeah i'd be happy to go back to work like i'm the total opposite here like here. Like, I would need something to do, something to get up in the way to take my mind off of everything.

You know, if there's a horrific thing that happens in my life, I don't want to just sit around all day and stew about it and think about it.

And at this point, I mean, if we're just being honest with each other,

I think Savannah probably knows what the outcome is. She probably has accepted the fact that her

mother's no longer with us. So it becomes a recovery operation. There's not much she can do, right?

Early on, she was willing to pay the ransom fee and do the videos and be the face.
